Jump Off The Bridge - Has A Bad Title?

Jump Off The Bridge, a unique arcade game from Cody Penn, is one of the best you will play on your PC or laptop. The story behind it is about a young girl, Jill, who lives in a peaceful town with many other interesting things going on around her. One day, while she is out riding her bike, she gets lost in the woods and ends up in an old house inhabited by creatures called Skelemingos. Jill gets trapped inside and has to find help to get out.

What started out as just a simple flash game on my personal computer, has since grown into an incredibly detailed and polished game in its Windows version. It's probably one of the most difficult platform games to come out for the PC since Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Jump Off The Bridge starts out with a little story behind it. A giant, floating mechanical spider, named Cody, falls from above to earth and proceeds to wreak havoc. In an attempt to stop Cody from hurting Jill and destroying the world, Jill's best friend, Stanna, tries to stop him. However, both of them are soon caught in the middle of a strange portal, which transports them to an entirely different world - where they discover that they're not in fact on earth any longer!

The game starts with little graphics and a slow frame rate, which is quite common for this type of casual arcade game. However, as the story unfolds you begin to understand just what is happening and how it all works, as well as the mechanics of the controls and the physics of the platforming. It's definitely one of the most absurd retro-platformer that tests your patience. Although, at times it's hard to keep track of where you should be going, it's definitely worth trying.
